Untis UK at
the BETT show in London
The BETT
show is a four day event held at the start of every year in the Olympia Stadium
in London. Each year the show is attended by more than 25,000 people.
Untis UK
had a booth in the new section specially dedicated to software and was able to
firmly re-establish its presence in the UK market: approximately 380
demo-CD-ROM’s and 400 information booklets have been handed out to interested
timetablers during the four days.
There have
been numerous contacts with timetablers not only from England, but from all
over the world (Burma, New Zealand, South Africa, the Middle East and - of course – all over Europe), who were all
impressed by gp-Untis’ wide range of features and its power. Once more it
turned out that gp-Untis’ “special class groups” are the ideal tool to schedule
the various options-groups - a very
important advantage over other scheduling-programs.
As a result
from these contacts, several
demonstrations of gp-Untis will be held in the UK throught the following months
– watch our homepage for details.
The BETT
show was at the same time a good opportunity to touch bases with existing
customers. It was a great opportunity to inform them - some are still using the old DOS version 14 ! – about the new
features in gp-Untis 2006: drag&drop in the timetable, flexible teacher
allocation during the optimization and the various functions of exporting the
timetables to the web, to name just a few.
Several contacts have also been made with manufacturers of “classical” school-administration systems. Watch out for new interfaces, e.g. with SchoolBase (http://www.schoolbase.biz/).
In short: the BETT show was a huge success – see you there in 2007!
