The beginning
took place in January 1970. At that time began we, Bernhard Gruber and Heinz Petters, to work on our first timetable program "STPL". The programming language was assembled and was programmed for an IBM 360.
The software
Much time has passed since the beginning of the software. Further tools developed around the timetable program during the following years. The common name for our programs is "gp-software". Gp-software supports you in vast areas of the school administration: during lesson planning, the timetable production, during daily cover planning or even calculating the teachers salary.
The maintenance
Annually in May the new versions of the gp-software is presented. In addition to us meeting with school administrative experts from nearly all European countries in Salzburg. In the archbishops residence the results of our work throughout the year off are presented, along with the wishes, desires and discussed solution types which were suggested to us. This close contact with the users initiates the development of the advancement of our programs in each case every year.
The languages
Gp-software now runs over 20 languages (as of April 2005). We are proud to annouce them: German, Hungarian, Swedish, English (U.K. English and US English) Catalan, Spanish, Gaelic (Welsh), Flemish (Belgium), Danish, Czech, Finnish, Norwegian, Croatian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Slovenian and Estonian.
