In a system that allows courses to be chosen such as in the final years in schools in some German states, a sixth-form tutor assumes the role of a class/form teacher.
Proceed as follows:
1. Create a so-called assignment group (tutor group) via 'Administration | assignment groups'.
2. The assignment group will now appear in the list of all assignment groups. Now click on the 'student head' to assign individual students to the group.
3. Now select the students to be included in the tutor group and save the selection.
Teachers allocated to the assignment group now have the same rights for the students in 'their' group as class/form teachers for the students in 'their' classes.
