The periods of a lesson can be allocated to different lesson groups automatically. This allows for example a lesson to be scheduled flexibly every two weeks. It is also possible to distribute a lesson over the 1st and 2nd semesters of a school year.
Example: One lesson of RI for class 3b should take place either as a single period each week or as a double lesson each fortnight.

Two lesson groups must be created for weeks A and B respectively. Please refer to chapter 'Creating Lesson Groups' for more details on this.
The option 'Distribute periods to lesson groups' (column 'Distr. LG') must also be checked. This doubles the number of unscheduled periods from 1 to 2 since either one period is to be scheduled each week or two periods are to be scheduled each fortnight.

Automatic scheduling now decides how the lesson should be scheduled based on the background circumstances (e.g. time requests, other lessons in week A or week B) and the weighting settings (Scheduling | Weighting | Annual Planning).

Entering 0-1 for the double period means that the lesson may be scheduled as a single or as a double period. Entering 1-1 would mean that the lesson must be scheduled as a double period in either week A or week B..
