Modules > MultiUser > Database Conversion from Version 2007

This chapter is relevant for you only if you have been working with MultiUser, version 2007, and you want to switch to a newer version. Otherwise continue reading at chapter " Installation ".

The structure of the Untis MultiUser database was reorganised for versions after 2007. After logging into a set of data from version 2007 a dialogue shows up which notifies you accordingly.

You can adjust the structure automatically to the latest version via "Modules | MultiUser | Database conversion 2008". At first a dialogue appears which requires the entry of the user and the passsword.

Please note that the conversion can be executed only by the user "Administrator" who was automatically established by the system.

After another confirmation prompt the processing starts. This can last up to a few minutes, depending on the size of the set of data. After completion we recommend to reorganise the gpUntis.mdb with Microsoft Access via the menu item "Tools | Database Utilities | Compact and Repair Database".

Caution!

The database conversion to version 2008 is irreversible , furthermore you cannot read data from the version 2008 with Untis 2007. Please make a backup of your gpUntis.mdb before you start the conversion.
