Adapt reasons of absences

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Besides the choice to count the cancellations, there are more possibilities to adapt the settings of the reasons of absences.

Balance cancellations

This setting enables you to further subdivide cancellations into cancellations that are balanced. This information is displayed in the report "Substitution Statement" and in the "Monthly Statement".

A release (a cancellation because of the absence of a class) is regarded as a balanced cancellation too.

Caution: Balance cancellations and count cancellations

The tick at "Balance cancellations" does not influence the substitution counter. Any absence where "Count cancellations" is ticked at the reason of absence will effect the substitution counter.

Don't count releases

If a class is absent then the teachers who would have taught the class are released. Usually these cancellations are counted negatively to the account of the teacher. If you do not want this, i.e. the cancellation shall notbe counted then you have to tick "Don't count releases" (Rel. not count). Most of all this is important in connection with events (see chapter Events and the substitution counter ).

Description

You can assign pre-made texts (Master Data | Descriptions) to the absences.

Statistical Code

Entries in this field are important for regional evaluations. The statistical code enables you to collect different reasons of absence to a group (e.g. all reasons of absence connected with illness).

Do not show in the absence header

Absences with a reason of absence where "Not in Abs. Head" is ticked are not displayed in the absence header altogether (see also chapter Absence header).
