If a class or a group of students shall be supervised by a teacher who is teaching at the time in question you can use the supervisions.
Another part of the substitute suggestion is the supervision suggestion. By clicking on the button <Supervision>
all teachers are displayed who are teaching at the time in question and thus are possible supervisors.
The supervisor suggestion nedds additional information to the ones that are already incorporated in the substitute suggestion.
Room
The room in which the teacher is teaching at the time in question.
Subject
The subject that the potential supervisor is teaching.
Distance
The distance is a measure for the spatial distance from the substitution room to the room of the supervisor. A prerequisite is that the entry of the rooms in the master data is ordered according to the actual sites of the rooms in the building. The display shows the difference in the order of the list of the rooms. Teachers who are coupled with the absent teacher are displayed with a green background and the term "coupling".
Example: Supervision
Teacher Newton is absent on a Tuesday in the first period. You shall find a supervisor for his students in class 4.
| 1. | The substitution suggestion for this period shows only two possible substitutes: Gauss with a standby and Newton with the period flag 9 (he does not teach on this day). |
| 2. | By clicking on <Supervision> all possible supervisors are displayed. Teacher Curie is on top of this list as she is teaching a section of class 4 in this period (coupling). |
| 3. | Teacher Curie shall take over Newton's group of students. By clicking on <Apply> Curie is scheduled to take this supervision. |

| 4. | The query "Transfer to the room of the teacher?" follows. The question is: shall Newton's group stay in its room or shall it go to Curie's room. In our case, Newton's group shall change to the room of the supervisor. Confirm with <Yes>. |

| 5. | Another query asks if the supervising teacher shall be replaced. To create a proper supervision answer with <No>. |

Caution: Replace supervisors
If you answer the question of replacing the supervisor with <Yes> you just shift the substitution to another class. The supervisor actually substitutes the open substitution. For his original lesson another subsitute teacher is needed.
The supervision is displayed in the substitution window. It takes place in room SH2 instead of room SH1.

Hint: Counting of supervisions
No additional period is added to the supervisor's account. You have the possibility to count supervisions half (see chapter Settings of the substitution counter ).
You can display the supervision in the timetable next to the regular lesson (see chapter Print of the daily timetable).
