On one hand these parameters are important to find a suitable substitute and on the other hand you have to keep a record about all the deviations from the regular timetable. You can evaluate the data from the point of view of the teacher or from the point of view of the student. The counting of the substitutions is done differently in different countries and in different school types. Untis meets all these requirements.
