Shifts for an open substitution can be performed either with the substitution suggestion or with the scheduling dialogue. In the shift suggestion only shifts from the current week or from the next week are displayed whereas in the scheduling dialogue shifts by several weeks can be performed
Example: Shifts in the scheduling dialogue
| 1. | In the file demo5.gpn open the scheduling dialogue and mark teacher Cer absent on any Monday. |
| 2. | In the substitution window, click on the open substitution in period 1. |
| 3. | Open the scheduling dialogue via the button "Scheduling Dialogue" . |
All possible shifts (shifts without collisions) are displayed in green. In our example these are only the MA and TX lessons.
| 4. | With drag&drop you can move one of these periods onto the open substitution. |
This shift is displayed in the substitution window. The fifth period is cancelled automatically according to the substitution time grid.
