Getting started

Log in to WebUntis by entering the following URL in your browser: http://<Server>:8080/WebUntis

If, for example, you have set up Tomcat and WebUntis on a computer with the IP address 10.0.0.100, the URL will be "http://10.0.0.100:8080/WebUntis".

 

You should now see the WebUntis login page. Log in using your school's name and the user admin with password admin.

 

User admin has all rights by default.

 

The first step should be to modify the password of user admin. To do this, click on <Profile> and then on <Change password>.

 

The next step should take you to the <Maintenance> | <Settings> window. Enter the IP address or host name of your SMTP mail server, if this is available. The "Administrator email address" field is where you enter the email address that WebUntis will use as the sender of the emails that it distributes. In the "Scheduler email address" field enter the email address of the person to be notified if errors occur when data is transferred from Untis.

 

Data transfer from Untis to WebUntis sometimes runs asynchronously, which is why the mail function is important to ensure that you are notified of any import error messages.

 

You should now transfer data from Untis to WebUntis before making any further settings.
