The user's password. This entry is optional. If a user is assigned a password it must be entered a second time in the field "Repeat password".

 

 

Creating passwords automatically

WebUntis provides a function for creating users from the list of teachers imported from Untis. You can find this function in the user administration view accessed via Maintenance | Users – <User administration>button.

 

The function goes through all teachers in WebUntis and creates a user for each user with the same short name as the teacher abbreviation. The users are assigned to the standard user group, are given the default language from the general WebUntis settings and receive the same email address as the Untis teachers (if they have been defined).

 

Alternatively, the password field for the new users can remain empty, or you can generate a random password for each teacher. The newly created passwords are displayed on the screen and can be printed or saved to a file.
